Shaveer is an Advocate on Record in the Supreme Court of India, and handles the firms practice before the Apex Court and other Courts/ Forums in and around Delhi NCR. Over the last decade, Shaveer’s practice area focuses mainly on Banking & Finance, civil and commercial litigation, arbitrations and family matters. He also has extensive experience in Project Finance documentation while acting as a Lenders’ Legal Counsel under Consortium Lending Arrangement.
Empaneled with Public sector banks, he regularly advises them in relation to debt recovery, insolvency and debt restructuring transactions, project finance, and corporate finance. Apart from the above, Shaveer is also empaneled as a Counsel before the Hon’ble Supreme Court for the ‘Supreme Court Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society’ undertaking pro-bono work.

• Before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in CA No. 8258 of 2016 wherein, Hon’ble Supreme Court clarified that the amount deposited under the second proviso to Section 18(1) of the SARFAESI Act, 2002, for filing an appeal before the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, cannot be treated as a secured asset to be adjusted against the borrower’s liability [2016 (9) SCC 361].
• Before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP(C) No. 20742 of 2017 for M/s. Inventaa Chemicals Ltd., in a matter pertaining to Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Reinforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002.
• Before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in CA No. 25-36 of 2018 in an issue pertaining to right to fair compensation and transparency in land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013.
• Before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in CA No. 8653 of 2012 in an issue pertaining to filing of a modification application seeking to bring on record a document, which was not considered by the Court while passing its original order [2013 (8) SCC 147].
• Before the National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi in OA No. 174 of 2013 pertaining to demolition of hotels/ resorts in and around the animal corridor (i.e., Kaziranga National Park, Assam).
• Before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in TP(C) No. 2239-60 of 2023 for the Respondent No. 11/Authorised Representative of homebuyers in a class under the IB Code, 2016 for opposing the prayer for transfer on the alleged issue raised by IBBI vis-à-vis possibility of divergence of opinion in interpretation of Section 220(1) of the IB Code, 2016.
• Successfully defended Steel Authority of India (SAIL) in a Maritime Arbitration instituted by Oman Charter Company for a claim of USD 517,841.
• Before the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) for Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. in a matter pertaining to Truing Up and Annual Revenue Requirement.
• Before the State Consumer Dispute Resolution Forum (SCDRC) and the National Consumer Disputes Resolution Forum (NCDRC) for cases relating to deficiency of service with regard to banks and real estate builders, including insurance claims.
